Supporting Asidlale Through Deep Community Roots and National Impact

For over 45 years, Ntataise has championed early learning in South Africa’s most underserved communities. With a national footprint of 22 ECD training and resource providers, we bring extensive experience in building the capacity of ECD practitioners and unlocking learning potential for young children in low-resource settings.

Our participation in the Asidlale Let’s Play! project stems from a shared belief: that play is not a luxury—it is a powerful tool for learning, healing, and connection Ntataise contributes decades of field-tested approaches, trusted community relationships, and a commitment to collaboration that reaches from grassroots level to national policy circles.

As part of the Asidlale collective, we bring:

  • Local knowledge, national reach, Our network spans rural and urban communities, enabling us to activate change that is both locally rooted and nationally relevant.
  • Training excellence, We support the development of quality early learning through accredited training, mentorship, and capacity-building for ECD practitioners.
  • Systemic insight, Ntataise understands the realities and constraints of working in vulnerable communities, and we are committed to co-creating sustainable systems that protect, nurture, and empower young children and their caregivers.
  • Advocacy and learning, we help ensure that the voices of those working on the ground inform broader systems change, shaping policy, shifting attitudes, and building a national movement that puts children first.

Together with our Asidlale partners, we are working to strengthen local governance networks, create enabling environments for play and early learning, and ensure that every child, no matter where they are born, has the opportunity to thrive.
